ZIMO LSFRWS5 VISATON Speaker - 50mm Round 8 ohm 4 watt - Compact

This is a broad range speaker perfect for use with ZIMO large scale sound decoders (MX697, MX699, .... 10V / 6W - amplifier).  

It can also be used with ZIMO small scale sound decoders (MX644, MX645, .... 5V / 3W - amplifier), however, the low power output of the amplifier is not optimized for the capability the speaker.

All ZIMO decoders are able to use 8 ohm speakers, most can use 4 ohm speakers or (2) 8 ohm speakers connected in parallel.

Miniature types such as MX648, MX649 and MX658 should only use 8 ohm speakers.

Small scale sound decoders (MX645, MX644, MX646, MX648, ...) work with 5 V power supply for the sound amplifier (miniature types create 1W audio power, otherwise 3W audio power).  Typical N- and 00/H0 speakers which are 0.5 W to 2 W.

Large scale sound decoders (MX695, '696,' 697, '699) work with 10 V power supply (and 10 W audio power into 4 ohms).  Therefore ZIMO large scale decoders (10 V) should ONLY use Speakers > 3W.

ZIMO offers special types of miniature rectangular speakers with special resonance bodies and are produced in cooperation with ZIMO business partners.  They offer excellent sound quality considering the size.  These special models are not commercially available elsewhere.

The other listed speakers (Round Speakers and VISATON speakers) are standard types.
